Some Miscellany since I fly out on Friday. I’ll try to update from over there but who knows:

OK. Wish me luck! While I am out, I am going to try and talk SbR into posting a few DotW for me. I am a few behind at this point!

I went through Hostel World and booked stay for 4 nights for about $100. 1 night at Dublin City University and the next three nights at Four Courts Hostel. Four Courts is rated in the top 10 hostels worldwide. Airfare $270 + Lodging $100 = Total $370. I may have enough money to buy souvenirs. To review I am headed out on Friday at 11:55 am, connect in Charlotte and arrive in Dublin at 9am on Saturday. I leave Wednesday around noon their time and arrive Wednesday around midnight CST.

So the big news is the Ireland trip is going to happen. I got the passport on Saturday and booked the airfare today. $270 round trip. Thanks to my buddy who works at the airport. It is nice to know people with those benefits. Fly out on Friday, fly back on Wednesday. As an FYI for anyone about to get a passport, there is not a need to expedite. They’ll tell you 8 weeks but I got mine in about 3. Still working out the details of what to do and where to stay but there is something to be said for having the freedom to take an international vacation with 4 days notice. I double rule.

AllPeers Opening to Public - Not quite sure what to make of this since it is not live yet. I have not had a full chance to test the beta (not enough time for jack these days so I will hold off on judging the app) but the TechCrunch comments sound about right.
